I must add a side note - (I am a bleeding heart liberal; my Husband is ... well, on the other team. ) So I had my idea of DC, he had his. And we compromised.
Of course. I wept at the Vietnam War Memorial Wall and the heart-stopping MLK homage.
But The Changing of The Guard at Arlington, the
Smithsonian, the Lincoln Memorial, Eisenhower, The White
House (yes!) - what I conceived were hard lines were soft and respectful
and quiet and reverent.I found compassion in our Nations Capitol. God Bless America. Pray for our Leaders.
